Dance + Movement Classes

Regular attendance is an important part of a student’s progress. Dance training is cumulative, and consistent participation supports individual development as well as the continuity and progress of the entire class.

Student Absences
Families are asked to notify Kineolab as soon as possible when a student will be absent. Notification should be made through the studio’s designated communication system. Students who miss a class are responsible for obtaining any information or material covered during the absence. Tuition will not be reduced, prorated, refunded, or credited because of a student’s absence, regardless of the reason for the absence. Tuition reserves the student’s place in the class and supports the ongoing operation of the studio rather than functioning as a per-class payment.

Make-Up Classes
When appropriate, KineoLab may permit a student to make up a missed class. Make-up classes:

• Are offered subject to space, scheduling, age, level, and class availability.
• Must be approved or scheduled in advance.
• Must be completed within 30 days of the missed class.
• Must be taken within the same studio year/session unless otherwise approved.
• Are not guaranteed and are not transferable to another student.
• May not be carried forward from one session or school year to another.
• Do not result in a tuition credit or refund if a make-up cannot be scheduled.

KineoLab reserves the right to limit make-up opportunities during periods of intensive rehearsal, performances, examinations, or other times when maintaining class continuity is particularly important.

Extended Absences
Families should contact KineoLab if a student expects to be absent for an extended period because of illness, injury, family circumstances, or another significant situation. Extended absence does not automatically suspend tuition or enrollment. Any exception to KineoLab’s standard tuition or withdrawal policy must be approved by the studio director. Students returning from a significant injury or illness may be required to provide appropriate clearance before participating fully in physical activity.

Excessive Absences
Consistent attendance is particularly important for students participating in performances, showcases, examinations, or other culminating activities. Excessive absences may affect a student’s ability to safely and successfully participate in choreography, performances, assessments, or advancement to another level. KineoLab will communicate attendance concerns with the student and/or parent or guardian when they arise.

Studio-Cancelled Classes
If KineoLab must cancel a class because of instructor illness, emergency, weather, facility issues, or another unforeseen circumstance, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice as soon as possible. When feasible, a cancelled class will be rescheduled or a make-up opportunity will be provided. KineoLab may, at its discretion, provide a credit or other accommodation when a cancelled class cannot reasonably be made up.

Weather and Emergency Closures
KineoLab may close temporarily when weather, transportation conditions, public safety concerns, facility problems, or other emergencies make normal operations impractical or unsafe. We will communicate closures through its designated communication channels. Monthly or session-based tuition will not ordinarily be reduced because of a single studio closure. We will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative learning opportunity when circumstances permit.

Holidays and Scheduled Closures
The studio calendar identifies scheduled holidays, breaks, and other planned closures. Tuition is calculated based on the studio’s overall instructional calendar and is not recalculated based on the number of classes occurring in a particular calendar month.

Tuition
Tuition is due according to the payment schedule established at registration. Tuition reserves a student’s place in the class and supports the studio’s ongoing instructional, administrative, facility, and operational costs. Accordingly, tuition remains due regardless of a student’s attendance. Unless otherwise stated in writing, tuition is non-refundable and will not be prorated because of:

• Student absences;
• Vacations or travel;
• Personal schedule conflicts;
• Illness or minor injury;
• Holidays or scheduled studio closures;
• A student’s decision not to attend a class.

Payment Methods
KineoLab accepts the payment methods identified during registration. Families are responsible for maintaining current payment information when automatic payment is required.

Late Payments
Tuition that has not been received by the stated due date is considered past due. A late fee of $15 will be assessed to accounts that remain unpaid after 5 days. Additional fees may apply to returned, declined, or rejected payments in accordance with KineoLab’s published fee schedule.

Delinquent Accounts
If an account becomes substantially delinquent, KineoLab may suspend the student’s participation in classes until the account is brought current. Suspension of participation does not eliminate the family’s responsibility for tuition or other charges that were incurred prior to suspension or withdrawal. KineoLab may decline continued enrollment or future registration when a family has an unresolved outstanding balance.

Payment Disputes
Questions concerning charges should be directed to the studio director rather than discussed with instructors during instructional time.
Families should contact Kineolab promptly if they believe a charge has been made in error. KineoLab will review the account and respond as appropriate.
